Windows Software Installation Instructions


On the ODRC webpage, click the appropriate link to start the ODRC software download and installation process.

Please note that Windows versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari have unique download processes. Once the software has been downloaded, the process for adding your system to the support queue is identical for all browsers.

Internet Explorer
When prompted, please click the Run button:

Once the file is downloaded you may be prompted again to run the On-Demand Remote Control software.

Click the Run button to complete the installation and launch the On-Demand Remote Control software.

When prompted, please click the Save File button:

Save the file to a folder a convenient folder on your hard drive. Please verify the file name so you can locate it for the next step.

Locate and open the file that was downloaded.
Safari (for Windows)
The file will automatically be downloaded to Safari's default download folder. Please verify the file name so you can locate it for the next step.

If the download was successful, the On-Demand Remote Control client will be started automatically by the WISE installer.

You will be prompted to create a primary and secondary ID code as shown below. This ID code will be used by the support technician to identify your system in the queue of On-Demand Remote Control requests. You may enter any combination of letters and numbers for the ID codes. The support technician may direct you to enter a specific code, such as a username or email address.

Once your support technician has connected to your computer, you should see the icon shown below in your system tray. You may right click on this icon at any time and select "Stop Session" to disconnect the On-Demand Remote Control connection and uninstall the software.

Again, once the On-Demand Remote Control session is ended, a support technician CANNOT access your computer without you starting another On-Demand Remote Control session through this website.
