LANDesk On-Demand Remote control provides a secure, web-based method for IT support technicians to interact with a computer that does not have a LANDesk agent installed. On-Demand Remote control communicates securely between support technicians and end-users over an encrypted SSL-based internet connection. Since the request for remote assistance is made from the user's system, no special security configuration or firewall setup is necessary to start the remote session.

On-Demand Remote Control sessions can only be initiated by an end-user (you), and cannot be restarted by a support technician once the session has ended. Once the support technician has connected to your computer you can end the connection at any time by right clicking the task bar icon and selecting "Stop Session".

To obtain On-Demand Remote Control support, software must be temporarily installed on your computer. Once the session is ended the software automatically uninstalls itself from your computer.

To start the support process, please select the appropriate support group link from the list to the right (your support technician should help you identify the correct link) and follow the instructions for your browser.

You will be prompted to download and/or install the On-Demand Remote Control software. Please note that the file name that you are being asked to download and run should contain the support group name that you are directed to click (For example, the file InstNotes.exe will install and launch the On-Demand client for the Lotus Notes support group).

We are sorry, but at this time LANDesk On-Demand Remote Control is not available for the Mac OS-X operating system.
